      Thanks to Organic Valley and Chris Hoffner (one of the first North Carolina dairy farmers to be USDA Certified Organic), we are proud to help them sustain their organic dairy.  In the future we hope to add more certified organic land to our farm and explore new ventures.  We would also like to thank ALBC (American Livestock Breed Conservancy) for helping to educate the public about endangered heritage breeds. We encourage all of our visitors to visit their page and learn more about these fascinating animals.

     Hartsell Farms is a NCDA recognized century farm, with over 200 beautiful acres located in historic Rowan County.  Presently we are raising registered Tennessee Fainting Goats, Belted Galloway cattle, and Gulf Coast sheep. In order for these breeds to flourish once again, they need to be integrated back into our economy.  One of our farm’s goals is to help raise endangered heritage breeds in a natural humane setting.
